Korg Pa80, save perf question(s)

Post by ikalinin »

hey guys.. i play in a band.. and when i play, i like the left hand to be like a violin or something, and right hand piano or guitar.. well, its diff for every song.. is it possible to save the settings to a floppy for each song ?
like...

song1 - LH (left Hand)=Violin / RH (Right Hand= Grand Piano
song2 - LH=Pad / RH=Guitar

is this possibe, and how..

also, the pedal settings get reset, it turns of sustain on the left side all the time, how do i save it so the right settings pop up for every song i load..

this is a big help to me if i can get an answer.. thanks in advance.

You don't need to save it to floppy if you don't want. Just in case you must backup or swap keyboards with another PA50. What you need is to create a style for each song and you will then have 4 different setups for each style. They are more, since you can save three different upper keyboard settings along with one lower, save them on one of the style's STS and voila. You have 4 STS per style.

As for the pedal settings, check on the Global settings and make sure you save them.

I think you need to read your manual or at least download the tutorials on the download section:

ikalinin, try the tutorials on the link I posted earlier. They are very easy to follow up. And they are in no way as complex as the manual. I can say I was also intimidated by the manual, specially the program function and all oscillator settings, but now that I followed the tutorials, the manual is much easier to read.

You won't regret it.
