Big error in OS 2.01 in KORG PA2X pro - meesage to KORG

Post by metronomuskarolkorg »

HI!!!
I speak english little, but I believe, that you will understand me!!

I have been the KORG Pa2X pro three weeks. I bought this keyboard new from shop. I know attendance about this keyboard, because my last keyboard was KORG Pa1X pro Elite.

I believe, that someone from Korg company will read this topic.

OS 2.01 in Korg Pa2 X pro has very bad errors!!!!

1. If i record new song in Sequencer, and I want to use external Midi sound module, I must change in Sequencer/menu/track control/Mode/ in this place i must change external. All tracks play good, some tracks plays with internal sound (pa2 sound)"Internal in track mode", and some tracks plays only with external MIDI sound module "External in Track Mode".

But if I save the song to the HD, and i will load to SEQ, or if I will Play this song in SONG PLAY, all tracks mode will change BOTH!!!! So, the TRACK MODE was not write with song to Hard Disk.

2. We know, that the Bass inversion, and much setup is write with performance or STS. If I want to bass inversion will ON for: all styles, sts performance, and all songbook, I must change the lock in Global/general control/Lock/Styles/ here bass inversion locked , and write global setup. Next I must write first performance with Bass inversion ON (because when I power ON the Keyboard, will load first performance with his setup).

In this function is error, becasuse bass inversion is OFF after Power ON the keyboard. Bass invesrion ON don't wrtite with performance.

Please tell me, do you understand me???
all question you can send to me to e-mail: metronomus@wp.pl

Hi metronomuskarolkorg !!!
About first question - If you have some other keyboard ( Triton or something else ) do a small experiment - write 16 bars song like you said above and save it like SMF and then watch if it will be like you want to be ... some Internal and some External ....

Regarding Bass inversion when Power ON... this is not an error...

If you want Bass inversion to be as per Performance #1 then you need to have the Bass Inversion Global lock OFF. When Performance #1 is loaded with its linked style, the keyboard needs to set the Bass Inversion - if it is locked, then it will not be changed as for performance #1. The Pa2XPro does not remember settings (like Bass Inversion) when powered OFF - and gives you the opportunity to set up your default power on settings in Performance #1 (as you already know). When the PA2XPro is powered ON "Bass Inversion" will be OFF unless you saved it to Performance #1 (as you have done) - it will then load Performance #1 and its linked style, however if the GLOBAL "Bass Inversion" Lock is ON, then the "bass inversion" setting in Performance #1 is ignored because you chose to lock it so your keyboard will always power ON with Bass Inversion OFF.

If you want Bass Inversion ON for most styles, the best solution is to lock it ON in Global mode and then remember to switch it on immediately after you power ON. The alternative is to set Bass inversion lock to OFF and change all your performances to the Bass Inversion you need

If you change Global locks, make sure you "write" global changes (and save them to a SET).

Hope this helps...

That is not a bug, that is something you like but it cant be implemented.
You are saving an SMF-Standard MIDI File which is recognized by all synths.
SMF doesnt Save PA Setup DATA it only saves SMF data. The reason you
have hte setup in there cuz its meant to work on the PA series, if you bring
your MIDI file to a Roland those settings are not there...or are they???
Is that what you expecting? That is not a Bug, it is Standard, it has to be
like that and it will be like that.

Not quite sure what you mean here - I have replied to the best of my knowledge, however, with regard to your SEQ issue, I have not set that up on my PA2 and so cannot comment on splitting internal/external MIDI by track.
If I get time I will try it for you....

Hi guys,

This thread is from the same guy who is selling a Steinway piano sound for $50 and who wrote about the free Steinway piano I produced ..."This is not good Piano.... Too much bad loops." As some of you know there are no loops in the work I did using the University of Iowa samples.

I think it is disgraceful to slag off someone else's contribution given freely to all forum members, and to do it based on a lie. The guy is a novice 3-week-old user of the Pa2x, how the hell can he be making and selling a Steinway Piano for the Pa2x unless it is a ripped off version?

I leave you to make your own conclusions.

Regards,
Rob

He already proved who he is by having PA2X for 3 weeks only and
his Piano being best, already for sale, he is not worth your reply.

There is no need for thinking and conclusions, unless someone is blind or
stupid. This is pretty easy to figure out, EVEN A CAVEMAN CAN DO IT!

I have the Steinway Piano On Pa2, the best piano, because, i converted from my last Triton files.

You have a bad think about me.

My last keyboard was Pa1X pro, who hasn't any bug in OS.

I know very good OS in much more KORG instruments.

best regards

If the Korg Pa can't write this setup, How he can write data about Effects setup, and much more setup?? You talk "This is SMF, and Pa2 can't write this setup in this format".

I think, what for Korg Pa2 has this Setup in Seq, if we can't write On HD the track mode setup??

It's stupid!!!!
