Sequencer Song Question, PLEASE HELP

Post by nickr »

I have the bass line for a song recorded as a midi, I go into the media mode and load my midi into song 001, I initialize GM, Then I change my tabs for piano and strings.
As soon as I hit play, All of the settings go back to piano, How can I stop this ?
Also, Once I get the song setup the way that I want it in the sequencer page how can I save it to my media card as a song ?
The rec/write button just starts the recorder and the drop down tab does not have an option to save to media........
PLEASE HELP

load the midi file in to the sequencer, select the sound you want to use in the tracks, then goes to track Parameter Page, open the menu and select Event filter (or event midi i do no remember exaclty how this option is called). the in the windows that will appear unselect everything but Program Change and press ok.

you will see a list of all Program Change command of the midi file, in your case you should have in the beginning a Program Change command that force the track to use piano. select this line and press CUT to delete it from midi file.

come back to seq and save as .sng file.
