Faulty Oasys

Post by seapad »

Hi Folks,
I am new to the forum as I purchased my Oasys 88 new in mid March.

Everything was fine it is a great synth, however yesterday the Oasys turned itself off after 30 minutes use (no problem, it started again ok), now today on power on the blue joystick light and blue underscreen light comes on for 2 seconds then it turns itself off again - if I try to turn on again nothing happens - if I wait a couple of minutes it will try to start again but only for 2 seconds. (BTW I don't think its thermal shutdown because the side vents are not covered and the ambient room temperature is 70 degrees)

Has anyone had this problem before - or is it terminal !

Thanks in advance
Rog

I'm sorry that you're having difficulties. This certainly sounds like a hardware problem. I'd recommend that you contact your national Korg Distributor's support department, preferably by phone so that you get to talk with them in real-time. I'm sure that they'll be able to help! Contact info for all Korg Distributors, world-wide, is in the link in my signature.

Best regards,
