R3P vs. R3L what's the difference?

Post by Milpow27 »

I have been trying to get a dubstep style wobble bass sound using the R3P file given on the korg site. The files that are R3P don't work, and The R3L do. Can anyone help please. I have been desperately RTFM and I can't find were it is mentioned.

From the R3 editor do File New.

Then right click on any InitProg and choose the "Open..." item on the pop up menu. That will load the R3P program into that program slot in the editor. It doesn't get written permanently into that slot on the R3 until you hit the Write button after memory protect is turned off in the Global settings.

To download the existing settings from the R3 into the editor, just do Midi / Receive All Data from the menu. Then find a program you don't want to keep, then load the R3P program onto it and press the write button.

That worked perfectly. You are awesome! Do you know if you could download more of these files somewhere else besides Korg website?

You're welcome. Hope you like the Dubstep Wobble Bass. This is the only place I know with R3 patches, but if you find others, you can help by letting us know where.

Be sure to download the Feb08.zip file, since that contains at least one patch that is not available separately, the screamin Guitar lead.
