EJ2's preferred name: Jim not Eric

Greetings all,
This is just a heads-up for everyone who knows me as Eric. It's true, my first name is Eric. However, my second name is James and I grew up as Jim or Jimmy. This latter is what my family, closest friends, and neighbours call me.

To make a long story short, I remarried 8 years 9 months ago and my wife (Russian) decided she preferred to use my first name. Somehow, I accepted this and it became my moniker (along with EJ2 - EricJames2). However, it's time to get back to my true self; and, that includes getting back to using the name I grew up with - JIM (or Jimmy).

I know this may take some getting used to in the short interim. I'll probably forget myself and sign Eric instead of Jim. But, here we go.

Only messing Jim, but why Jim ? Jim is only a nick name for James. I just think it's a little funny when you don't want to go by Eric or James.

You're right!
You're Eric, always have been anyway, and it's hard to picture you, and think Jimmy, instead of Eric.

My first name was Joseph, till I had it legally changed, when someone would call me Joe, or Joseph, I couldn't relate to that, as I grew up Stephen ever since since I can remember.
Joe, was my dad's name.

Regardless, you are, by any name, one of the coolest people I know.

Yes, I know. But there is a story behind why I want to get back to the "Self I Know". So, it's Jim or Jimmy. "Eric" will be saved for the police and courts....
