Pa2x
Ok! i have to write an contribution.
Honestly Korg Pa2x is a nice keyboard. I mean really nice, with many nice functions that can be used. But the keyboard itself also has so many problems. And i have so many conserts that I'm actually afraid that I wont reach to the service senter before my guaranty expires. So what should we do? I know we are not the only one having these problem. Why doesn't korg test their keyboard for everything then selling their new product? I would wait longer for a keyboard for that.
When i bought it, my keyboard had this problems:
* I have to push very very hard on some of the buttons to make it work. (very annoing.. My finger hurts)
* Leds not working sometimes.
* One of the keys from my keyboard haves higher sound than the others.
* Freesing sometimes during playing, loading and sampling.
Why not give Asena a new keyboard and just solve the problem? Instead of driving to the service and back so many times. I actually think it will cost more than the keyboard it self.

Hi Ronny,
With the faults you describe you HAVE to get it to a service center before the warranty expires. If some LEDs are not working it would be a very expensive repair after the warranty expires, since half the circuit boards in the Pa2x have to be replaced. Are you running OS2.01? If not you should upgrade before taking it for service.
Regards,
Rob

Yes Rob, my friend. I have updated to the last update (OS2.01). But something i don't understand is. Why do we have to pay for something Korg have made wrong? I don't really understand. This has nothing with warranty do, if I'm right. This is obligatory to Korg to fix when they have sold me a new keyboard with allot of problems. And as i'm teenager i don't have the possiblity to pay so much again because of economic issues. So di I have to pay again? It just don't make any sense
Don't you guys agree?
I don't mean to annoy you guys because of this and hassle about it. But this is just wrong! I write this contribution for every one with problems. I hope for every one that these problems will be fixed. I know this is a hard thing to to for Korg to, since there are soo many keyboards out allready with problems and unstable OS.
I have problems with: (like i said)
* The keyboard freesing (Load mode/media, sample mode, style mode)
* LEDS not working sometimes.
* Keys (c2) produce higher sound than when i push the other keys.
* Have to push hard on buttons to make it work.
Thank for every one on the forum that takes some time to read this and listening. I would thank you Rob for everyone you have helped. Like I said I don't mean to be annoying for anyone. I just wanna help everyone! With a big smile
Regards,
Ronny

Hi Ronny,
I don't speak for Korg. However I do know that if you return the keyboard for repair before the warranty period runs out, then it will be repaired or replaced by Korg free of charge.
If you return the keyboard for repair after the warranty period has expired, then you will be charged all the costs, which you will have to pay before the keyboard is returned to you. If you consider that to contravene your rights in your country, then you can contact a lawyer to pursue the matter for you, (but with no guarantee of success, and with ensuing costs being carried by you if you fail).
However since you are aware of various faults now, since your Pa2x is still under warranty, you should return it for warranty repair asap. If your livelihood depends on playing a keyboard, then you must have a spare that you can fall back on. In my case I have both a Pa2x and an M3.
Best regards,
Rob

The terms of warranty require you to return it to the dealer where you bought it. You could perhaps buy another one in Sweden in time for the concert. Or maybe Asena will lend you hisRonnyPa2x wrote:Thank you so much Rob. I have one more question.
I live in Norway and I have papers (guarantee). 20. June i have a consert in Sweden. (another country) Can i fix it there instead? Will the papers be available there?

Yes Ronny, you are absolutely right. Warranty is totally irrelevant here. Like I said in many threads Korg has the legal obligation to fix this, even after the warranty period. They made something wrong and the user does not need to pay for this.RonnyPa2x wrote:But something i don't understand is. Why do we have to pay for something Korg have made wrong? However, getting your legal rights many times requires legal action, and many people do not want to start procedures. But you are 100% right here.

FIXED
Good news - at last my Pa2x keyboard is fixed. The fault was exactly what Rob wrote earlier - the "mainboard" which has the USB interface circuitry on it was faulty causing none of the USB ports to work properly and the Korg USB test diagnostics that Rob ran on my keyboard proved it.
I would like to thank Korg TURKYE for their help in providing a replacement mainboard which fixed the problem, and also thank Rob for the time he spent with me by telephone running a lot of different diagnostic tests with me, showing very clearly that there was a problem with the USB hardware.
And please remember that I did not buy the KB in TURKEY!
I'm disappointed with the inability of Korg SWEDEN to repair my keyboard even though they had the board for a total of 20 days on two separate occasions. They also had Rob's diagnosis three weeks ago and they told me he didn't know what he was talking about. Yet they couldn't find the fault themselves, they ignored Rob's diagnosis and they returned the Pa2x to me a second time with the same USB hardware fault on it.
Thank you al, for helping me out, Now i,m owner of 2X PA2X, i listened rob,s advice, heave a secondary KB , this is better for me, Couse i don,t know when there will be a new Hardware fault.
Hope never
