How do I change a filled user bank to another location?
I bought "Brass and Woodwinds" and it automatically installs to user G location. I already have it filled and need to move it to another location. How do I do it? The last time I tried moving programs I lost all of them. I would appreciate anyones help. Thank you.

Press the Disk button and SAVE as a PCG file. (If your programs have your own samples, then save as ALL, so that samples are also saved.) Name this file, so you know what it is - like "MySounds" or "June09".
To move bank G to another bank, take it from the PCG or ALL file that you just saved. Press the Disk button, select the LOAD (instead of SAVE) option. Highlight your "June09" file and press OPEN (on the touch screen). Now, highlight PROGRAMS and OPEN, again. Highlight U-G, if that's the one you want to move. Press LOAD (lower right screen).
A pop up box appears, saying "LOAD PROGRAM BANK U-G" There's an option, "TO". Simply select which bank you want to load that to.
Since you saved the whole program file, you should have a backup of all PCG banks. If loading G overwrites something you forgot about, it should be in your June09 file. Note that while saving, you can simply save one bank, instead of all of them.
Using the OPEN button, you can even load a singe program, if you want. This is a good way to load your favorite programs, from various banks, into one favorite bank. Checking the MULTIPLE SELECT box will let you load as many as you want in one operation.

Thank you for your quick response Mike. I love your Oasys instructional video and am looking forward to your next installment. Any idea when it will be available? The short video demo's are refreshing in an instructional video. Makes it more interesting.

I'm hoping before the end of summer. I'm going to be doing a lot more "short video" format, such as: This is how you burn a CD, This is how you Save, etc. A lot more emphasis on Combis, Programs, Disk mode, Sequencing, Bussing, IFX/MFX, etc.
I find that a lot of people find the OASYS and other units too complicated, so I plan on following right up with a "Synth Basics" DVD, as well. A lot of it will feature the OASYS, but I will show crossover examples with the Virus TI, JP8000 and the Fantom. This is an LFO, This is a low pass filter, this is an envelope, etc.

No, I wish I had it. I have an older model, but I think the rom engine is very similar across the series. The idea is not to be specific to any model, but show the same concept with a few different synths, so that it is easy to grasp. One of the reasons I want the JP8000 in there is because you can look at the envelope sliders and see what's going on.
