recording with Zero 8

anyone willing to list how exactly they record djs mixes with this unit. Also include standard vinyl, and using digital like traktor pro in the recording ideas.

I also would like to know how to record with the Zero8 using traktor Pro.

I cannot get a feed. Does anyone know how to set it up?

Here is what I did for standard 2 deck dj recording. Go into the IO settings of the Korg Zero 8, set one of the channels to master out, then go into the TSP settings and assign that channel you just selected to a deck in the input and output settings, and then set the record to external, with the same channel selection you just assigned. It should work nicely with these settings. There maybe some variables you can change, or also a need to restart the program to make it work perfect, but maybe not. Also I am not sure if this is the only way to make it work, or if all the steps listed are required, but this works for me with my setup of just two technics 1200's, if you need to use four decks you might need another approach.

I am using all the channels on my mixer. Does that matter? 4 are for the decks and four for the midi controls...

No it does not matter. Input and output are unrelated.

Hit Setup on your Zero8. Go to I/O, select one of the eight channels and then select master.

Now select that channel (or pair of stereo outputs) in your piece of recording software of choice.

Voila.

Got it. But the recording level is pretty low. How do I adjust it through the korg menu? The traktor Gain is up way to high for it to be a normal level from the mixer.
