Nanopad drivers problem

Post by korchev »

Hello,

I have recently bought the KORG Nanopad but I cannot use it because of what appears to be a driver problem. I am using Windows XP SP3, when I plug in the controller, it gets installed without a problem. If I open Sounds and Audio devices in Control panel I can see it as an USB Audio Device and everything seems to be working. However when I open up Reason, Cubase, EZDrummer, Live etc. and try to set up the midi device it is not shown in the list and I cannot use it.

I tried installing the KORG driver, it seems to recognize that the nanopad is connected and the driver for it is installed, but if I go to Sounds and audio devices in the control panel, it shows that the device is enabled and working properly, but if I go in the midi proeperties of the device, it shows that the driver is installed but not working properly. Needless to say the device was again not recognized by any of my software, incluging KORG Kontrol Editor.

Has anyone had similar problems? Help would be greatly appreciated!

With your nanoPAD connected, go to your Korg programs listing in your Start menu and click on "Install Korg USB-MIDI Device" in the "Korg USB-MIDI Driver Tools" folder. That should take care of things.
