Hi Guys, i need some info on how to make korg PA800 to read Aiff files. My friend gave me some drum loops that was created on logic pro, but somehow my korg wont recognize the files. how do i go by making the korg read the files?

Anyway if you'll excuse my poor humour in reference to Douglas Adams, I'll try to assist you ...
My current method is to use Awave Studio (full licensed version) on a PC to assemble the AIFF files into MultiSamples. Split any stereo AIFF into two mono (it's handled automatically in Awave Studio). You will have one multisample ending _R and on ending _L. Then export the multisamples from Awave Studio as Triton/ Trinity 16 bit format. You will end up with a directory structure comprising KSF files at the lowest level, then a KMP file for each multisample, and a KSC file at the top level. You can not use the KSC file on the Pa800/Pa2x.
Then on the Pa800 in Sound mode, press record and select the Multisample screen. Then select Import from the drop down menus, and import each multisample with all its underlying samples, using the KMP script file. It will automatically find and load all the KSF samples in the asociated subdirectory.
To build a quality Sound, maybe with 4-layers of stereo multisamples you will have 8 mono multisamples to import, and you will need to assign 8 OSC's in the Pa800's Sound structure - one half panned left for the _L multisamples, and one half panned right for the _R multisamples. There will be 8 KMP multisamples files with associated subdirectories each containing the KSF samples for the corresponding multisample. After importing each one, select "Write" from the drop down menu, before you import the next one.
Depending on what type of sound you are trying to create, start off with the nearest factory Sound to the one you want, then change the ROm based multisamples assigned to each OSC to use your own RAM based multisamples.
All the above applies to building Drumkit Sounds.

Being a Mac user, I know that AIFF files are the Mac version of PC WAV files. But I know on my Mac I can convert AIFF format to Wav format via Roxio's Toast software or iTune software. I have had issues using AIFF files on my Pa800 and always had to convert them to WAV format. The converted WAV files worked fine on my Pa800. I guess this could be a different issue since these files were made on Logic Pro. I guess one must be good with music software and computers and I am not that person....

What are the exact names of the aiff files? Korg (and windows) needs the right extensions to read a file. An extension is what comes after the dot.
For example "letter.doc" is a word document. Mac's don't need the extension.
But if you want to read the files on your korg do the folowing on your mac;
1. select the file
2. press cmd + I
3. Be sure the change the name and extension to a extension Korg can read. For instatnce "sample.aif"

the Pa2X.
