SCRATCHY SOUND

O K...when i turn the VOLUME up and down on my R3 while playing there is this annoying as hell "scratchy" sound in the speakers...

it's not my speakers because i tested it out on multiple ones...

WTF is causing this??? :shock:

Oxidation, just get some deoxit add a drop to the pot and you'll be fine.

I have to do the same thing, so I'm taking the face plate off and put a drop onto the pot - usually there is a small slot at the bottom side of the metal part of the pot. Just put a drop in there and twist the knob of it around a few times should clear it right up.

if this actually works, would you mind going into a bit more detail? I'm not completely sure what the "pot" is.

On the above link posted there is a pic of the pot - right below the 3 prongs you insert a drop of deoxit and twist the knob. [/img]
