LIVE Program Switching

Post by TheWarHam »

Im down to one last simple question, that is never really answered fully in any of the topics about it...

Live switching programs - fast way? Is there a "favorites" or similar on the MicroX to use? Wouldnt reordering the sounds I need delete the original preset sounds in those slots, some of which I like?

Anything? I realllllyyyyyy need to know.

There is a favourites function, you can have 9 or 10 programs or combis set to the number buttons. i use the x50 live week in week out and it has never caused me a problem with the switching.

i think i had to upgrade the firmware, but maybe new units come pre-updated now, i dont know.

to set favourites:
go to a favourite sound,
hold exit/cancel button and tap a bank select button (eg. Program A)

repeat up to 8 times for the different buttons.

hold exit/cancel and tap the GM button
all the program and combi lights will light up
you can now use them to access your favourite sounds.

hold exit/cancel and tap the GM button again to exit favourites mode and return to normal synth operation.
