Free MR-1

Hi everyone. I just got me a spanking new M3 (not Xpanded) and I was wondering if buying the EXB-M256 memory expansion makes me eligible to get the MR-1 or is this just for the factory-Xpanded M3's.

good news... this has nothing to do with the EXB-M256. If you have a new M3 of ANY KIND, they'll send you the MR-1. just installing the V2.0 patch makes it "Xpanded." There is no physical difference between the original M3 and the M3 Xpanded beyond the software update that you download for free of the Korg site.

But WOW - send that coupon in ASAP cause the offer ends 8/31! Good luck!

I see the MR1 deal has now been extended to October 31, though perhaps your rebate form has its own expiry, if that's the mechanism here.

I've been tracking this because this deal is actually a hindrance to me to get an M3. I'm just not interested in the MR1, and I was hoping they were going to move to a different deal on September 1 -- ideally, a bundled EXB-RADIAS...

Oh well.

What's with the MR1 anyway? I looked for it online at Guitar Center, Sam Ash, and Zzounds, but they don't list it. How would anyone ever be able to buy one? How would you even be able to learn about it if not for this promotion?
