Help with key volume

Post by mrtom1982 »

I'm using a TR music workstation, but I bought it mostly to use as a piano. I play a lot of classical music and the problem I'm having is the bass note keys, pretty much everything below middle C are very loud and they tend to drown out the upper keys. Is there anyway to adjust that? Thanks in advance.

in edit mode, in the AMP settings page (you may have to do it for both timbres - there will be two AMP pages showing in the edit menu), there is a setting for keytrack, on the second page.

Sorry I can't be more specific, my TR is packed away at the moment ready for a gig.

I'm not sure which setting I need to change, none of them really seem to do what I need. In the AMP settings it has:

Ramp: Low: +99 High: +99
Amp Mod. Velocity Int: +52
LF01 Mod. Intensity: +00
LF02 Mod. Intensity: +15

Any advice? This is really starting to drive me crazy!

Your ramps have pretty high values. Try to decrease that low ramp a little bit.

Yea, lower the low ramp a bit! The scaling of those ramps (high&low) are bi-polar--ranging from -99 to +99! Hope this helps.

I found the solution. In the menu, under IFX, go the the equalizer in the IFX tab and lower the 120h and 320. Dont lower the 320 to much cause it also effects the volume of the notes around middle C.
