Zero 4 FX disabled! Help!

Post by ellmoorish »

Hi There,

I've had my Zero 4 around a month now but the main FX/Sampler and also the FX selector on each channel cease to work. They are not even selectable any more.javascript:emoticon('')

When I power on the unit without the firewire cable attached though it appears to all work fine but the problem arises when I connect the firewire cable the fx selector dial and also the main sampler/fx they suddenly no longer work.

Could this be a hardware fault or something that I've changed within the Zero Edit software by mistake. If the later is the case could anyone screenshot me the default mixer settings within zero edit (Pre EQ, Pe Fader, Post Fader and BUS & Master please).

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi There,

Unfortunately no my problem has not been fixed yet. It's really frustrating. I paid good money for this mixer and just want to use it in all its capabilities.

To say the support from Korg is a little on the slow side would be an understatement too. I posted a request for help to their technical support dept and they said they hope to reply to all requests within a few days or so. That was nearly a week and a half ago now and I've heard nothing!

I really don't want to send the mixer back to the place I purchased it as in general I'm happy with it and perhaps if Korg would ever get back to me I could get it sorted from home.

Does anyone else have any ideas? I've mailed a request to Pro DJ forums to join as I understand there is a moderator on there that is a bit of a Zero mixer expert but as yet they've have not activated my account so I can't post on their message boards.

How frustrated am I!

I'm based in London unfortunately. I wouldn't necessarily say I'm disappointed with the mixer but I certainly am on the lack of support available.

I've posted the same problem up on Pro DJ forum to see if anyone there can help as the problem is still there.

It's been nigh on three weeks since I posted my problem to Korg technical support and I'm still waiting on a response from them :(

I don't have any outstanding email requests about Zero mixers. So appologies if you think that our support is slow.... I answer most emails within 24 hours. We have had a few problems here in recent weeks so it's possible I never got the mail?

Basically the answer is covered in the 96 khz part here.....

Hi do you have any info about upgrading this function ...to be possibible to use 96khz mode and sampler+fx ? That seems to be little downside ....(new firmware) or it's impossible becuse of hardware specs?

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the reply. That seems to have resolved the problem thanks.

Not sure why the two requested I logged didn't make it to you (KENQ6295 & KENQ6285). They must have got lost in cyberspace somewhere.
