Parameters will not reach '000' on R3
EDIT: I've realized the actual problem with my R3 is that the parameters will not turn all the way down to '000' when the knobs are turned all the way down, but here is my OP anyway.
---
On my R3 I have a problem when using catch mode (which I like to use even when editing patches so I can make minor adjustments). When I try to change a parameter that is set to '000' by turning the knob all the way down, it will not 'catch' that setting. I can also only turn parameters down to '001', but I'm not sure if that is normal. While not a horrible flaw, it is terribly inconvenient to have to scroll back to global parameters every time I want to turn on a part of the synth that wasn't being used before. As far as I can remember, I was not having this problem when I first got the R3 and it only started in the past week or so but I can't be sure.
Anyone have a diagnosis? Operating system error? Problem with the knobs?
Thanks for your help in advance.
EDIT: Now I can only knobs to turn down to '002'. They went to '001' only about 5 minutes ago. Also, the same settings read '127' before the knob is actually turned all the way up. The knobs seem to not be calibrated right, or something of that nature.

Have you tried resetting it or rerunning the os update? That sometimes can fix problems and will also eliminate the OS as the cause.

catch function
the catch function the radias means which ever valvu which it is set to, then the dail has to reach that valvu when turned to then start the editing. iv forward or back wards. which means its a safety function to stop slit nock and tweeks. hope this helps

not sure of the specifics as i've never done it before but you need the pots/encoders cleaning. it can happen when you have ended rotary encoders that some numbers don't register after a bit of use.. similar problem to knob jitter problems

Well guys, the problem is solved, but I'm not really sure how.
I took my R3 over to my friend's for a jam last night and after setting up, to my surprise all of the knobs now reach '000'. I take it home and set it up in the exact same place, same thing. It works fine. I can only imagine it has something to do with me unplugging everything and taking it somewhere. KevHammer must have been right, and I just didn't listen.
Thanks for the help though.

I have the same problem, though only with assignable knob 2
When I turn it all the way down (left), it wont reach 0 (or -24, -63 or whatever the lowest value is)
sometimes it goes back to normal and it works perfectly, but most of the time I have that issue and it's really annoying, because I can't set the parameter that is linked to that knob to its lowest value

I, too, am experiencing this problem. It really does seem like a calibration problem, because the display hits 001 before the knob is all the way to the left, and the display shows 127 before the knob is all the way to the right.
I would really, really appreciate some help. This is an extremely detrimental problem - I can't turn things off!

R3 Knobs Solution
Well guys, apparently the solution is simpler...
I had the same problem, since 2 weeks ago all my knobs went from 000 to 126, just after a gig.
Last week I had another gig and the range narrowed from 000 to 124.
Both the times the keyboard stayed for one day in our van's booth, and both the times the weather was rainy.
I've just tried to 'dry' the knobs with my hairdryer for a minute and they're 000 to 127 again! Et voila...
Let me know if this works for you guys as well...

R3 knob problems
I had this exact same problem on my R3 (3 of the pots wouldn't give the full range of values, and one pot seemed to cause an effect on another sometimes)
It's second-hand so I couldn't get any repair done under warranty. So, with some trepidation, I took it apart yesterday (which was easier than I thought actually) and managed to get the daughter-board which has the pots on out.
I gave all the pots a good soaking with contact cleaner (I used Servisol Super 10 which is about 3 quid a bottle I think), wiggled the pots about for a while and let it dry.
After putting it all back together, lo and behold they're all working perfectly now. Yippee!
So, giving the pots a good clean does seem to be the answer, and if it happens again, at least I know it's fairly straightforward to remove the pots and clean or if needs be replace them.
