HElp ! trying to sync EMX with Logic 9

Hi-
I'm trying to use Logic 9 as the master and my Korg EMX Electribe as the slave via midi. Then I hook the outs of the Korg into the interface and plan to record them as audio into Logic. But I want to sync up the tempo so that I can isolate each instrument coming out of the Korg. Seperate the drums and the synth ect.

So I have the midi out of my interface going into the Korg midi in.

I've done all the correct synchronization settings in Logic and on the Korg. But the 2 are not communicating. I've done it once before but now it doesn't seem to work. Anybody else having the same issue?

I'm using Logic Pro 9 with Macbook pro (Snow Leopard), Presonus Firestudio Project, and Korg Electribe.
