No floppy drive on new computer.

Post by jerry6681 »

I used to download to a floppy from Band in a Box and simply put it in my Pa1x pro. My new computer Vista 64 Bit has no floppy. Does any one know if there is a way around this and can I use CD's? I can't get CD's to work. I know I can take the Pa1x to the computer but I am trying to avoid this.

You can buy External USB Floppy Disk drives in any good computer store.

I paid 20 euro for one only 6 months ago. So they are very cheap.

Hi Jerry

...as a footnote to Sharp's message, please let me know if you are ever stuck needing OS diskettes etc and I would be happy to send them to you but I think the USB diskette drive will solve all your problems perfectly.

Thanks a lot Sharp. I was hoping there was a simple solution that I hadn't thought of.

Hi Pete,

That was extremely nice of you to offer that. I think the external drive will solve the problem.
