FL studio and combi help

Post by negative03 »

OK so i recently got the TR and am still in process of learning how things work so excuse me if some questions i ask are silly haha.

but yea im wondering how i can record the sounds off my TR into FL Studio without doing an audio track. Jus doing midi and having the sound transfer also. By my understanding the TR doesnt come with a VST with its sounds (which is frekin annoying) so yea im not sure how i do this

im also still trying to figure out how to make more than one midi track without having to record that midi track to audio and then making another one (am using ableton for this) i no u use combi mode, but yea i have only got that far as im not sure how to edit the sounds. im sure there is a thread that covers this but i thought i may as well ask it all in the one thread.

can anyone help??

To send MIDI on multiple channels, use combi mode and set the different timbres in the combi to send on different channels.

There's no way to get the audio from the TR without recording it. What you can do is use Local Off (see the MIDI page in Global Settings), send all the MIDI to your computer to record that, and send the MIDI back to the TR to trigger the sound from the TR. That's the way you probably want to work with the keyboard until you've finished up your song; then, you'll have to record the audio from the keyboard.

You can adjust the volume of each timbre in the combi on the Mix tab (think it's 1-1:3).
