Is this equation right?
if i add + memory to my TR i will be able to add more sounds to the keyboard?
i mean something like a expansion board?
It sounds like RAM cards can be added just to deal with samples but i won't use the TR as a sampler because i use external samplers and loopers so all i need is to pack my TR with more programs and combs; either created by me or bought from Korg, ebay or whatever.
is that possible?
please advise.
thank you all
+ memory= + programs + combs ?

Sorry, the memory upgrade for the TR is for sampling, TR does not accept expansion boards, and is limited to the factory installed number of programs and Combies.
You will need a Triton series, or Karma to install the expansion packs.
Wish the news was better.

Thanks for your help.
Well, it is not too bad to know this since the TR has more sounds that i can handle; i probably have modified half of of the sound engine and i still find programs and combies that really surprise me..
However, if i install + memory RAM still i will not even be able to save new creations?
This means that extra RAM in the TR it is intended only to work with temporary samples?
thanx

I have created many custom combies, and never used the extra memory I initially installed in my TR when I thought I might do some sampling.
It's really easy, lots of fun, and the results have been impressive.
I made a list of Combies I felt were not useful to me, and saved my new custom combies to those locations.
384 combie locations, I'll just bet you can find some you'll never use, and then you can overwrite to those locations.
One tip, find combies that are set up like the one you're trying to create. For example, when I need a split keyboard, I find a combie that's already split, I may have to change the split points, but that's easy enough, same with effects, etc. try to find something similar to wht you need, it makes things faster, and easier, plus, you'll learn more quickly.
Best of luck.

Thank you so much..
yea, actually i have probably edited between 40 and 60 combies of each bank,
so i still have bunch of room for more creations; i am modifying a lot of programs also, specially certain kind of horns that i don't use at all, mostly whatever that sounds like "Octoberfest" i get rid off.
so you recommend to install the sampler uh?
is this sampler capable of organizing sampled sounds all across the keyboard or it get located in certain keys, i have a casio sk that whatever you sample it can be played note by note across the keyboard,
is this the case with the TR too?
thanks again for your help
