Help With Korg R3 Vocoder

Hello there im new in this forum i just buyed my new Korg r3

and wanted to now, how i can record with Cubase 4 the Vocoder???

i can record and all seems good, but when i put play without touching the keyboard is not sounding nothing

i relly want to now how i can make it worths

Well, you don't really explain exactly what you're trying to record, but I suspect you are recording the midi data whilst playing and expecting to hear back what you hear when you recorded, but that's not going to happen unless you repeat whatever input you were using (singing into mic, external source whatever) at the time you recorded the midi track. The only way to record the vocoder into cubase would be to record the output directly to an audio track. Otherwise, I guess you could record formant motion data on the R3 and sequence that?

Based on what you said in the other thread it sounds like you're not running any audio patch cables. You said just USB...

You need to carry the audio via 1/4" cables to an audio interface for your computer.
