Oasys freezes with combi selection

Hi all,

I experienced a combi freeze when starting up my Oasys. It continued to do so after every reboot, I managed to get out of it by rapidly selecting prog mode during startup. Afterwards, returning to the same combi made it freeze. I suppose there must be something corrupt in the combi in question. Any idea on how to solve this?

Did you try reloading your PCG file ?

Yes, whenever I reload and hit that particular combi, it freezes again.

Try loading the factory preset file to get your OASYS back up and running stable, then using the OPEN option in disk mode open your PCG file and from that only load your custom sounds to memory.

See if that does the trick.

Had the same problem. Screen would freeze, and notes would sustain for no reason. Tried everything including a complete reinstall of software. Sent to local auth repair....did nothing. Then insisted Korg get it direct. They agreed. Had it for 6 weeks. Replaced motherboard. Works great....so far. Is this one of the reasons it got discontinued???? I recommend sending back to Korg if you're not getting a fix. But be prepared to be without for at least 6 wks.

I'm sure it's a software problem, nothing hardware. Either the pcg file is corrupt, or the Oasys OS can't handle a series of settings that are in the file.

Either way, I can't select the combi without having the Oasys to freeze. The combi is cursed.
