pk_hui, a HUI emulator for padKontrol

Post by abcdaniel »

Hi,
I have made pk_hui. It is an application utilising Native Mode to turn a padKontrol into a DAW control surface, via the HUI protocol.

If you want to check it out it is available for download at KVR Audio, as part of their Developer Challenge. You can vote for it there if you like it, but I am more interested in you trying it out than voting. It is too much of a niche application to win anyway.

I've had much help from the instructions posted in this forum, I've been the passive bystander. The application is built using MaxMSP. Mac version runs very nicely, but Windows version is unstable on some systems. Just a warning. I haven't been able to track down the Windows issues, but I suspect there are problems with Max runtime on some systems.

Anyway, give it a go if you like to!

pk_hui 1.0.3

Post by abcdaniel »

pk_hui has been updated to version 1.0.3.

It enables precise tactile control using your padKONTROL in Protools, Cubase, Reaper, Logic, etc. Included are faders, panning, mute, rec, solo, transport, save, undo, and more.

Update includes improvements to panning, text, and preference handling.

Only Mac version is updated, Windows version is frozen until some persistant bugs are squashed.

Still available for download at KVR Audio.
