advice for good midi soundcard

I'm planning to buy creative soundblaster 5.1 soundcard. Is this a midi soundcard? I just want to make sure if it can produce good quality sound for midi programming and sound designing.

And what about X-fi series do they support midi?

I beleive they have a midi in/out and some sounds for it. but if you are using cubase, you can use a usb to midi and use cubase sounds.
