My TR Stopped Responding

Post by odeon »

I was playing with various combi patches, striking a few chords and then changing to the next using the dial to switch to the next, and all of a sudden, the TR stopped responding. The keyboard, buttons, dials, lights, everything. The only thing still lighting up was the LCD.

I turned the keyboard off and then back on, and everything started working again, but now there is a low, humming sound from the headphone jack (the 50Hz kind). The hum is independent from volume and starts when the TR performs the memory and EXP check at startup.

I've had the keyboard lock up again, once, after this incident, and the hum remains.

Time to take it to the repair shop? :?

Don't really know... I've had my misfits with the TR, but none of that kind.
Sorry. Repair shop it is.
