Can anyone recommend Metal Progressive/Industrial patches?

Post by crashAlpha »

Hi,

I'd like to use my Triton LE in a metal/progressive project, and would like to infuse some Electro/Industrial sounds. Too many of the Triton LE patches are too light, traditional or thin and constitute wasted space for me (very few of the default patches are suitable, actually).

Does anyone know of any patch libraries that could suggest, commercial or otherwise? I don't want a collection of screaming sound-effects, but a mix of heavy, distorted, aggressive and dark tones. Also wouldn't mind stuff in the style of Crystal Method and Prodigy if anything comes to mind!

My poor beloved Triton is just collecting dust because most of the sounds are too lightweight, even though I dearly love the machine. Any recommendations would be surely welcome!

What about tweaking those sounds to your liking?

I don't have any links for sound samples from i.e. Kurzweil, Nord, Yamaha or Roland keyboards now, but I will look into it.

Oh, I'm just looking for some inspiration <g>

We are a guitar/bass lineup and my Korg is more a writing tool than anything else. New sounds and arps always give me ideas for new songs, which always end up being modified into something very different.

Anything you come up with will be a blessing. Surprising quiet on this topic, though. Where do the rockers hang out? Did those electro/trance thugs bully them away again?

:) Inspiration :)

Well, I remember that the more I got used to tweaking the stuff on anything, the more inspiration I could harvest.
So, using those tweaked sounds I got some inspiration to modify it into something very different as you say :)

Are you a keyboardist then or what ?! :)
If not so, I am and could probably help you with your projects.
There's a mail on my profile page, which also is a msn messenger address, so feel free to add it. It will be easier talking there.

Did you check out the download section of the forum ?

Asleep :P Or they bought better keys, so they're out.
