General Music..and all about "midi"...not here !!!

Post by Vesa »

I've been gtr lover all my life, past 80s and into 90s I wondered why there weren't anyone like Hendrix...I didn't know much abt him - or the musicians that couldnt play like him ;)

90s pass, 2000 comes...gtr songs get way heavier (Inflames etc)..what the hell ...I decide to wiki hendrix...google...download...best is WOODSTOCK - i think something really happened there....what happened to the lively 60s music? like, all bands tried to be perfect as those on stage woodstock....
I've tried to find hendrix's origins...the best music for MYSELF, I found on that trip: very late 60s !

thx..Vesa

pls, post your musical heroes, story etc..any review

I'm a progressive rock addict (style also originated in the late 60's).

From back then:
- Jethro Tull (crank up the volume a bit for the intro here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO8aa9PGxvU)
- Audience (don't know them? listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i043gWMKAVg)
- Cream (clapton.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGZeqwdWoeo)
- And many many others

But even these days, there still is some pretty cool stuff created...
- The Raconteurs (Jack White... one of my favourites here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPZIF1OTvEY)
- CPeX (locals.. i'm from Belgium http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIev3AlYakU)
- The Last Shadow Puppets (the age of the understatement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGV8xCkpXjE)

There's plenty more where that came from ;-)
