It's an awesome mixer, as long as you have 32 bit xp/vista or some versions of osx
it has built in audio interface nd great effects
BUT I just upgraded to an hp dv6t i7 720qm with windows 7 64 bit and nothing works on the mixer
KORG DOESNT HAVE 64 BIT DRIVERS FOR THESE
it might not affect you, but i'm not liking these as much cus of that

I, too, recently upgraded machines to an HP dv7 and in spite of the ZERO8 being awesome on many fronts, I am still contemplating selling it (and the custom case I bought for it, FROM KORG) for $800 (1/2 of what I paid for the machine plus the case) because it is simply too quirky. Driver is still shaky as hell with Vista 32 bit (on a 32-bit Dell machine) and has cost me by stopping twice in the middle of a gig, making a high-pitched whine and that's not even getting into the issue with the noise floor.
Overall, while there is a lot I still love about this machine, there has become almost equally as much I loathe about it.
All I can think about is that for what I paid, I could've gotten an AKAI APC40 and an RME box.
That would honestly be my choice if I had to do it over again.

I really like it, the sheer amount of inputs is incredible and the effects are great. I couldnt get it to work with my laptops, but its rock solid on xp 32 on a desktop pc with a distinct fire-wire card. Took a bit of messing around to get the latency and buffer stable. It integrates with live superbly.
