Hi,
Just recently got myself a TR88 and even more recently got a pedal for it. I, being a piano player, want to use this as a sustain pedal, i.e as the pedal for a piano.. I have however not managed to use the pedal for this purpose.. I find it very strange that this function would not exist so this is probably a stupid question, but anyway. Can anyone help me with instructions for how to make my pedal work as a sustain pedal?
Thanks in advance.
ps. i was looking for a "questions-thread" but couldn't find one, sorry if this is not how you usually go about asking questions in the forum..
Sustain pedal for TR

You'll probably get a better response if you post in the right board/category. You want Korg Triton LE / Korg TR - Discussion relating to the Korg Triton LE and Korg TR
but anyway, the answer to your question is:
Use the 'Damper' socket. A sustain pedal is commonly called a damper pedal because on a piano it disengages the dampers from the keys

Oh, i just saw the undertext "the Korg Trinity and TR rack." and assumed this was the right subforum
I'm not very familiar with the selection from Korg, as you might guess....
Your suggestion worked perfectly. I never thought about that socket being there, and didn't know that the pedals were called damper pedals either
Thanks a lot! playing has been awfully limited without the damper pedal, up until now
