Is there a good soft case for the R3?

Post by myotherheadisanowl »

I've been trying to find out exactly what the most appropriate case would be for it. I'm going to be playing shows soon and I really don't want to just carry it around in the box because it is beginning break and rip apart. I also take the bus a lot and don't like people being able to see the box that clearly says "Korg R3 Synthesizer" on it.

Any advice guys?

Either go custom or get a Nord Modular G2 bag.

I really like the Nord G2 bag, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's out of stock almost everywhere and where it is not the shipment fees to my country is way to much :(

hi everyone, i also have the same problem as all of you.

i have done some research, and found that the nord G2 bag is the best, but if like me you are un able to find one, or you cant afford a custom flight case , i have found a reasonable priced gig bag!!!!!

this has a little extra room for the r3, but it will be just fine :D

you can buy the r3 as a bundle with this bag, so i thought it would be suited perfectly

please tell me if you find any more!

Has anyone gotten that case from kraft? It says the inside length is only 24", the r3 is 25.5"

I doubt it will fit. I'm using this one and it fits exactly:

im using a TGI Keyboard Stand, this is brilliant if you are using the R3 on its own. this stand is good because it is very easy to set up, it has a teeth locking system so you don't have to tighten a screw! which in my eyes is a bonus as you don't feel like the stand is going to collapse

if you are using the R3 as a lead synth, and you have another keyboard, it would be a good idea to get a 2 tier keyboard stand. make sure they can take the weight of the keyboards!!!

good luck with the gigs! :D

I could be wrong, but I think it also fits inside a "Moog Little Phatty" soft case as well.

Hi to all R3 users,

I have had the chance to use the Soundwear bag now and i am
very happy with it. The measurements fit perfectly those of the R3.
It comes with shoulder straps and has a large
front compartment for cables, power supply unit etc.

Great! I was a little insecure about the depth since it's only 2" and the R3 is little bit more, but since you say it fits i believe you! I'm buying this today. I can't run around with my Korg under my arm like some kind of newspaper.
Would you kindly?
