I listened to Alive and Kicking and Enjoy the Silence (two old faves of mine) and got a big kick of those two ! Best of all, it sounds like you guys were getting a big kick out of playing these songs !

Very nicely done 8)

We did, we love playing Simple Minds as they're really hard to get right. I have to say, to me, they sound like s**t live so we had to give it a try :-) But overall, we had a blast doing all of the songs we played at this gig really.. a customized selection of songs most of which never made it to the mixing process because they weren't played good enough. But if nothing else, I can say that I had a blast programming these sounds and playing and OASYS just kicks some serious ass.

A couple of years ago I thought about programming some 150-200 most popular songs like these we played (with a lot of synths that really leave their mark), do a sound collection and sell that :-) I used to do a lot of stuff like that back in the Triton era for local bands...

Here we go, some more.. these are not as good in general, but sounds are there :-) Vocals are awfully out of tune, and all of the same problems that I mentioned earlier are there :-) But.... OASYS just shines. Especially on "Jump" and "Jesus he knows me" .... This keyboard just sounds awesome.

Hi
Nice covers, the band sound great but the OASYS itself its on a level above the band... the "problems" that you mentioned are normal on live presentations and with just a few hours of rehearsals

Its just my imagination or you tried to remove the "Vocals heavily out of tune" (tm) on the Whole a Lotta Love/Beat it track mixing??? lol

Alvaro ;)

Tried and failed miserably :-) You just can't get a decent tuning with Intonator (Powercore) when people are singing this bad. And it sounds funny and I actually like it that way as an example how bad it is and can get.

And actually... "normal".. that's not normal. What's normal is for people to rehearse and work their asses off before playing. Then there's no problem. It doesn't have to sound perfect, but this is way beyond being "far away from perfect". This is just shameful :-(

The very first that came to our country was mine back in 2005. Can't remember the exact date but... let's say from day one :-) Why?

This band's "artistic" name was Evil Beatles, just for fun 'n' games.

--I've been meaning to find someone and see perspective of how other person is programing and diffrent approch to sounds.......simpliest to maybe exchange some sounds. I've got mine few months and still didn't catch enough time to put my ideas on pcg...only few of them...you can say new in this area.:)
O's are pretty rare thing in our country...don't you say?!

Well... It seems that - for various reasons - all of things and questions like these in our small country (and surrounding area) end up in my 'hands'. Not for Oasys only, but for Tritons, Trinitys and workstations in general. Years after I stopped working for Korg distributor. And that's hell of funny from time to time.
I had this guy with Triton Studio from Bosnia asking me about the very same thing maybe two weeks ago. That was cool :))

Still, I end up encouraging people to learn the specifics of their keyboard and explaining the principles of sound programming. Because people are usually lazy :(
I'm probably gonna keep on working on a shitload of sounds and end up publishing them somewhere (Oasys sounds). Especially for 80s and 90s music, pop, rock, and stuff. It might be interesting to see how people would react.

yeah.. but I should really get a Triton back or something and do it for that generation of Korg's keyboards as well :) OASYS only is... not really worthwhile :)

I'm humbly submitting here for your enjoyment, (and mild scrutiny), a link to a youtube posting that comprises a collection of guitar solos (and a wee keyboard solo) from a gig we did in January. The sound is horribly distorted, or worse, at times, but there is some merit to the video for demonstrating the Oasys gigging live. A funny little acceleration in the beat during "White Room" is actually a video hickup, not schizo drummer. Hope it leads to more enjoyment and less scrutiny.
