Best way to record r3? What program(s) do you use?

Hey guys,

Im just wondering what program can be used if i want to record myself using the r3. Can it be done using only USB?

No you can't! (see post from benef below)

For recording I use a very old sequencer program called DOP (Digital Orchestrator Plus) from Voyetra. It is about 15(!) years old. It records MIDI and Audio in full duplex (you can record while playing the other audios and is very common today). Even if it has not big edit functions for audio, it has a very very low latency which is good for recording the MIDI and audio tracks.
Once my tracks are recorded and saved as .wav and .mid, I import them with Sequel, which offers good audio editing tools as well as effects and built-in software synths, to arrange and remix the tracks. Main problem of Sequel is, it does not sends MIDI-Out data and has longer latency like severall other newer programs.
