I need to use some stand-alone programs in combi mode and have their volume levels be consistent as much as possible with the volume levels of a much larger combi sound. For exampl i want to be able to use the stereo piano patch or slow choir patch in the middle of a bunch of diff. combis that i would accend through with a foot pedal for live purposes. I've read on these forums that you can copy the effect settings of the mfx and the ifx, and i have tried this two fiff. way one is manually; i first use the hot key function (hold down "enter" and press "record" i do this because it then copies all the effects info into sequencer mode and looks very similar to the effects pages in combi mode. I do this because i don't understand synthesis as much as i would like to and having the pages look the same makes copyong easier for me, then i copy every single section of every single page in the ifx and mfx into combii mode route those effects to program 1 and usually mute the other 7. i found a quicker method also...while in ifx or mfx pages of combi mode simply press "utility" and there is an option to copy effect settings in their entirety with about two more button clicks. Another solution other than the above, would be to just lower the volume of all the combis in combi mode in the mix page as well as the effects pages and crank it on the neighbouring programs. But this is not a practical solution as i am working with a shitty dinosaur of an amp that clips hard at high volumes (in fact i have the volume slider nearly on mute and crank the amp because it cannot handle the signal that it sends.)
All this volume s**t aside i am having some midi filter problems, i have a combi set which is slow choir on the left and some sort of atmosphere-like synth wave thingy on the right. for the paticular song that i use this combi in requires me to at one point hold a chord with my left hand choir then release it while having it still present with the sustain pedal and then i use the joystick to pitch bend a note in my right hand atmosphere melody line. But everytime i unintentionally bend the pitch of the left hand chord and i do not want that. I have my combi bank A wiped out and replace with my live set of combi's to acsend through so i figure that maybe there is some sort of hidden factory settings that i can't alter for some reason, because i have checked/unchecked the appropriate boxes in the midi filter screens, or so i think. Am i missing something here?!?! I apologize for the big run-on sentence and lengthy post. Any feedback would be helpful.

Hi
1.-
I see that u rearrange a whole Combi Bank an u mentioned the similarities between the Sequencer mode an Combi mode.
My suggestion is that u could use the sequencer mode instead the combi mode.
U can copy entires combis on sequencer mode, including FXs presets and routing and arrange a Cue List with the right order that u need your "songs" and advence through it with a foot pedal.
also u can use the sequencer for 1 program and copy the FX Preset and the only thing that u've to do is route your program through the IFX.
2.-
About the pitch bend, you talk about MIDI filters, but in the section "MIDI Filters 2" the Joysitck X/Bend On/Off switch is for the case to function as a AMS
If you want to eliminate the pitch bend ond a specific instrument/track you have to go to the Edit Section on Combi or Sequencer Mode and press on Prm1 (Parameters 1) and press on Pitch Tab.
On the Pitch tab u will find 3 paramaters to edit in this order, Transponse, Detune, Bend Range. At this point is obvious that u've to put zero on the last value for the programs/tracks that u dont want to be affected with the pitch bend
3.-
I've take a look on your Myspace, nice works, it also remembered me that I've a song called Departure too
The Awakening is IMO your best song, with a lot of Epica, Nightwish, After Forever, Within Temptation, etc...
Regards
Alvaro

Hi
AMS stands for Alternate Modulation Source
The "source" can be any controller on the keyboard or via MIDI, like aftertouch, a knob, joystick, switch, an external pad or sliders, etc.
With this u can modulate parameters like LFO, EG.
You can control each of this parameters with differents sources or several with just one to create more complex sound effects.
