MIDI problems!!!

Post by tigersinthefire »

So, I have a microKORG, an Edirol Um-1ex, and a Macbook Pro, and I wanted to know how I can use my microKORG as a MIDI controller. I've been trying everything and it doesn't seem to recognize my microKORG.

HELP!!! I'm trying to use it with Garage band and/or Logic.

Sorry, it's just sort of annoying because I have all these idea I want to work on and I can't even get this to work.

Thanks. :)

It won't recognize the microkorg but it should recognize the UM1, that's what I use.

So, how should I go about getting it to work with Logic or Garage Band?

I know it's probably a simple solution, however, I'm just not used to Mac yet.

Thank you so much by the way.

In your software select the UM-1 as midi input-output, you may have to enable midi out on the microkorg see the manual for that and you should be good to go.

So, I found another midi-to-USB interface and my problem is solved. Thanks a bunch. :)
