Best amp!

Hi

What is the best sounding keyboard combo amp, the Behringer Mk45fx or Peavey KB2? They both have similar specs but can't decide which one to buy

None of the above. How do you plan to use the amp? What kind of music? For practice or gigs?

I need a keyboard amp for an upcoming solo electro gig, I need to input my m50, kaoss pad and pacemaker with line outputs to connect to the sound desk at the venue

why do you say none of the above, i've read good reviews of both! What would you recommend?

I use a Yamaha StagePas 300 for solo live gigs. That way I can output my keyboards in stereo with 150 watts per channel. It's lightweight and perfect for coffeehouse venues.

Because lots of bad amps have great reviews posted by people who work for the manufacturer or the reseller, specifically to deceive you, because they're lying.

The question is why you expect $2,000 worth of keyboard/synth gear to sound good on a $200 amp with a 45W 10" full range speaker?

Compare the specs to a Behringer B212D. Then go to a store and actually listen to them with your pacemaker containing the music you play. The difference should be obvious. Report back what you discover.

I bought a Hartke KM200 last summer and couldn't be happier. But as others have suggested, try before you buy, and get an amp that suits your individual needs, regardless of hype.

I don't think either of those would suit well, both are bottom-of-the-line. What keyboard are you using? What's the application? The combo amp I use is the Traynor K4... lots of power and sounds decent. I chose it for convenience of having everything in one unit, otherwise I'd've gone with powered speakers and a mixer (JBL eon, QSC k10 or k12, Yorkville NX25p, something along those lines). Motion Sound also makes good keyboard amps.
