On GAK they have the UK release date down as 26th March.

I haven't seen any proof that it's going to be released this month.

Yeah, that was a really good & informative demo from Rich - great work! :D Mic input & vocoder effects? That's a huge plus, I think I'm convinced now ;)
After watching that video, I'm convinced more than ever that I won't be buying a KO Pro. I don't think it offers enough extra functionality over the combo of Kaossilator and KP3 to warrant a price of £300. You can buy some very tasty gear for that price...

I think it depens on what you already have. I, for example, do not have a KP3, my KP2 has recently seems to have given up the ghost and I held out on buying an original Kaossilator in the hope that they would create one that allows external audio to be recorded... The Kaossilator Pro.

So I agree in a way. If you already own a KP3 and a Kaossilator, your money might be better spent elsewhere. However, for me, this does pretty much everything I want. I'm not sure that there's anything else out there that does all this for the same price (other than the Roland SP-404), though I don't know the market as well as some.

Genesisco Kid- I almost never check PMs. Ask in public, so everyone can benefit! Loop tempo is always based on the internal clock, so the loops will always be in sync. We also have a "looper" audio-in effect in the KOPro, but it functions more like the "Loop Slicer" effect on the KP3.

Mr36- No, the audio-in effects will only work on sound coming through the inputs, not on imported WAV files... and you can import one WAV file to any of the four Loop Bank buttons.

Hugo- There is an editor for the KOPro, but all the control over the effects is done using the X/Y pad. When you hear a thick effect on a sound, you can usually control its depth on the Y axis... Up is wet, down is dry.

In the new demo video you can see that at 5:25, using the on-screen mixer, same as the KP3: SHIFT+bank then adjust the "fader" on the touch pad

Yes you can, make sure you're using the v2.0 firmware

Yes, I muted the loops just so I could continue talking (I do love the sound of my own voice).

You definitely can modify the levels of all four loops via that onscreen mixer.

HI, rich, thanks for taking the time to reply..

i think i understand.. the screen acts as a mixer.. got it

and secondly,

when you load sounds in from the card, does it affect playback?

thanks

So many online retailers do this now.

A couple of years ago when I was looking to buy a Kaossilator I must have submitted about 5 orders online to retailers stating "In Stock" only to receive an email or a phonecall saying "We expect stock in 8 weeks".

In the end I found a brand new one on eBay.

Weird, to me it still shows as not being in stock. Maybe it was some temporary malfunction or something.
