Make sure you have actually assigned the driver to the device using the program in start > programs > KORG > USB-MIDI Driver > Install Korg USB-MIDI Deviceroms wrote:lol
these options don't even show up
only options available :
in :
padkontrol
midiin2 (padkontrol)
midiin3 (padkontrol)
out:
padkontrol
microsoft GS wavetable synth
midiout2 (padkontrol)
when you run the downloaded installer, that merely puts the drivers on your system, but windows will still think its own incorrect drivers are better. this is why it is necessary to use the utility to force the drivers on the device.
You may also have to repeat this step if you plug in to a different USB port.

however I think this is my real problem and I have no clue what to do:

any ideas?
Death to the flying rats!
Are you using the latest driver from the KORG website, or the one that came on the CD? The one on the CD will probably be outdated.
you may also need to check that you haven't exceeded the windows registry 10-device limit... I have no experience of that but it has been mentioned a number of times on this board.

as I said, I have no experience of that...
Just do a search of the forum for registry limit or something..
Also, what version of windows are you using? your screenshots look a little strange... looks like XP?
