Simple R3 question

Post by benef »

Trying to transmit an R3 program (Fireflyz from the recently posted topic), but it's not flyin'.

R3's connected to USB, I save the file, Open R3 Editor, New Library, Open fireflies_lead.rp3 to A1, and yet..... the program that plays through my output is the program I have saved to my R3's A1, not fireflies_lead.rp3.

What's up?

I think you have to click away from it and click back again in order for it to transmit - because when you 'load...', the same slot stays connected.

Anyway, that is assuming you've got the editor working right in the first place. Check that in preferences your MIDI In is set to R3 KBD/Knob, and the MIDI Out is set to R3 Sound.

If you don't see these ports, then you need to install the driver. Or if you've installed the driver, make sure that you've run the utility in start > programs > KORG > USB-MIDI Driver > Install KORG USB MIDI Device. Assuming you're on windows....

Got it, thanks! Just had to choose another program, then go back to the newly loaded program.
