thanks!

Hi, unfortunately not. There's no audio input on the TR-Rack, or on the standard Trinity (unless you have HDR-TRI installed, which again I think is limited to using only the Trinity's master effects, or PBS-TRI, which allows you to use all effects but of course will only apply to short, imported samples rather than being able to process incoming audio in realtime).

Not on the TR-Rack or Trinity.
And not exclusively in general, although more modern synths often have audio inputs. For example the Radias has a stereo audio input that you can send audio to (via two mono 1/4" jacks, or a microphone) and process it with the Radias' filters, vocoder, modulation sequencer, gating, effects, etc.. and then send it back to the computer via your soundcard.
I'm not sure about the Triton/M3 etc. as I've never had access to them.
In these events, you have to send the audio out of your computer to the synth and back into your computer again via cables.
I think one of the few external synths that function as an internal "VST" plugin is something like the Access Virus TI.

Re: * Using JUST the effects *
Depending on what DAW you're using, there actually many awesome free effect plugins to use that sound really nice. I myself used to think about doing the same thing as some of the reverbs are absolutely awesome on the Trinity, but I realized that it is better to just create a master effects send and return track and put a plugin in there as it will save all your settings with the project. Where as if you use the trinity, any changes you make would not get saved with the project.BrysonPrice wrote:Is there any way to apply JUST the effects from my Korg TR rack onto an audio file inside my DAW ?

Yea, but I just don't think that plug in Reverbs have met up to the standards of hardware reverbs yetMusiKman wrote:Depending on what DAW you're using, there actually many awesome free effect plugins to use that sound really nice.
