What programs work well with padKontrol?

Post by jiggyjiggy »

I tried it with the demo version of FLstudio, and it doesn't work well at all. I am trying to find a program to make beats from scratch with.

The padKontrol will 'work' with any software that accepts MIDI input. You just have to set it up so that the controllers will do what you want in the software.
Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,
Other Mfgrs: Moog Sub37, Roland Boutique JX03, Novation MiniNova, Akai APC40, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2, ART Pro VLA, Focusrite Saffire Pro 40.
Past Gear: Korg Karma, TR61, Poly800, EA-1, ER-1, ES-1, Kawai K1, Novation ReMote37SL, Boss GT-6B
Software: NI Komplete 10 Ultimate, Arturia V Collection, Ableton Live 9. Apple OSX El Capitan on 15" MacBook Pro

I use Ableton Live but it is a tad more expensive than FLStudio. I just have to load GURU from factory presets (once that file is loaded you will see GURU on left side) to select from. Then the cells in Drum Rack line up to the first cell it defaults to (C2 range). But as X-Trade stated it should work with any software that takes MIDI input.
