Am using device connected via USB. Windows tells me I have the latest drivers already installed.
I have been trying to use my Korg padKontrol with Ableton Live using their Session Drums but am encountering a lot of trouble. I am on Windows 7 and Ableton 8.1. My KORG session is set to the default S01, which should render a standard layout C3 in lower left pad, however, when I hit this pad, in Ableton it actually triggers the upper left pad in Ableton. I can drag the scale up so as to align the bass drum in lower left pad, however, none of the other pads corresponds to the kit layouts in Session Drums. It seemed to work out of the box in Windows XP, but not so many issues trying to use in Windows 7. I am wondering if I have perhaps missed a step. I should be able to drag a kit to a track, and see that the Kick corresponds to the right pad without having to manually set things up. Has anyone else encountered this? I would appreciate help.

Hi,
I have Live 8.1.1 on XP Pro SP3 and the pK as well. What you need to do is select load (whatever it is called as not in front of that system) and find the Factory*.* file. Load it up. Once loaded you should see GURU down the left side for templates (think they are templates...). Load it up and it should default to the default first active cell in a Live Drum Rack. Drop your samples, enable record to hear them and go bang away! That's what I did for it. Else you could just set the notes on each pad and load it to the pK and then load up the Drum Rack and should be good to go. I know it's not straight forward/cut and dry but that works for me and I think what others told me some time ago so I stuck with it.
