I like a lot of electronic/rock music made in the late 60's early 70's by bands like Neu!, Harmonia, Cluster, Eno, Silver Apples, USA and aim to take a similar approach to music but hopefully with an original sound due to the use of some of the more modern gear in my set-up ;)
CR78 + 404 sounds like a very original, and original setup :) would love to hear that!!

myself? I don't call any of my music techno, it's just whatever genere my instruments decide to lead me..

two forst tracks differ a lot from the other tracks.. some may agree that "The owls..." is a techno-kind of tune, I don't know.. The idea was to cross breakbeat and acid..

I'm starting to work on some Polish Waltzes and various Byzantine Choir pieces using my tribes, LOL....I mean these are grooveboxes, dudes, that means lots of bleeps, bloops, and tick tock bang! In other words techno of one form or another...although I can see the ESX being more flexible.

i used and still continue to use my ES-1 solely and almost completely for hiphop productions/instrumentals. My methods range from either 100% sampling mainly from nothing but records, or sampling from patches and melodies that i play on the microkorg.
I recently bought an esx-1 and felt compelled to make a techno-esque track out of scritti politti samples, of course with a hiphop edge though :)
But hiphop is what i came up on...im a crate digger/beat maker down to the T...but musically i feel as if i can do anything i can think up, and if i want to challenge myself...i'll occasionally experiment with other styles.

peace

This is my indie band, and i do some sample op and effects with my ES-1, I don't do too much in this particular song as i do in others, but this is the only video we have.

I use Electribe ES-1 to make hip hop tracks. I created remake of Pete Rock beat, Big Daddy Kane beat, etc. with Electribe ES-1. I sample my vinyls with my laptop, loosely chop the samples, and transfer the WAV samples via xd card and xd card / smartmedia card adapter.

@ukmic

Thanks for your comments :)
Hope you enjoy your Electribe.
They are great tool for creating almost anything you want musically.
Everytime I switch mine on it inspires me to create something new.
Stick with it for the first few days and your patience will be rewarded :)

Cheers,

Krog.

I'm using an ER-1, soon to be replaced with an ES-1, in a dance-rock band.

I think i'll still have use for the ER1 as a sequencer for drums on the Radias though in my own projects. Its a great hands-on interface, much like Reason's ReDrum.
Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

I used to be in an indietronica band where I used my korg setup, I also do music for videogames, websites and hopefully one day filmscore.

On my own I write and perform drum and bass and dubstep and have a studio project called Silicon Suicide which is kind of new-age/industrial dance rock.
Drum and Bass, Downtempo, ElectroPop, Industrial, Dubstep

Just because it has bleeps and bloops doesn't make it techno. It depends on the drum rythm and BPM mostly.
