Well, all was well until i got a new comoputer. My old HP w/512 megs of ram played my songs back fine. I'd either directly export the mastered song files via usb or burnt to the 3200 disk then put it in the computer and use media player to copy the finished song to the computer for later 'album compiling'. Either way the songs played back fine in media player or real player on the computer.
Anyways, my old 'puter (running win XP) was in need of replacing so i bought a new HP running win 7 w/6 gigs ram (blah, blah, blah...;>). I recently finished a new song and did the usual exporting of the mastered song to the new computer via usb (and then again via cd, but more of that later...).
The problem - when the song is playing back on the computer in either media player, real player or winamp (which I just D/L'd and installed), the song starts off at the normal volume, then about 20-30 seconds into playing, it seems like a compressor kicks in and drops the overall volume for the rest of the song.
I've spent the last 2 days retesting the exporting, remastering the song and countless times listening to the mastered song in the 3200's cd player. The 'cd version' from the deck plays fine in the deck and in my car. It's only when playing the song on the computer does this happen.
I've searched throughout my computers sound parameters and cannot find anything that would cause the volume to drop. My other songs carried over from the old computer play fine.
Anyone have this 'computer' problem?
Thoughts?
Thanks,
-Jim
