new OASYS demo

Post by peter m. mahr »

hi all,

here is a new short OASYS demo. Only HD-1 sounds were used plus Spectrasonics RMX Stylus drums. You can hear the audio demo at the end of the following blog entry:

Hi imusic,

thank god I did not sell it. :)

.. ja, I guess there is not much to say about Eric Persing. I follow his work since Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and it is not by accident that Stylus fits perfectly to OASYS'

Dear Peter,

Fairy music. I like the evolving and living sound. In fact I prefer the first (drumless) version, it's like a movie score, or more: you can imagine pictures when hearing it.

Dear Akos,

thank you.

As posted at the blog - interesting, as I usually start making music without drums. Ten years ago it was the opposite way around. Maybe one day it will be a homogeneous process :).

You're welcome and I am glad to hear that you like some of the combinations I programmed and made available for download.

As mentioned on the blog and as I have seen you posting in the "iRandomizer" thread, there are also some iRandom sounds. If I remember correctly, they are Program USER Bank F, the first 15 sounds. My solo sound - you can hear on one of the MOD-7 demos, but is a MS-20 sound - is also a result of playing with iRandomizer.

Thanks again!

Wow Peter!

Very emotional and great sounding music. With your permission I would like to download this in to my iPod?

I too am glad you kept your Oasys. :D
And because of this I am looking in to Stylus RMX at the moment. :)

Erst 'mal ein herzliches Servus an den Auslands Österreicher.... and man, thanks a lot for this feedback, to both of you and all the others.

sirCombatWombat - how could I say "no!"? :D .. Stylus is a great tool and I am not getting tired to mention that Eric and his team as well as the Korg programmers for the OASYS did a great job. The Vector Vox Combi consists of two factory vocal/choir sounds and my "Peter Gabriel Pad".. which is a modified factory sound.

Again, thanks to all of you, this really means a lot to me!

Best

OASYSmania

Post by Dany »

Hello Peter

I am the Swiss guy, who tried twice to buy your OASYS and I feel really happy to hear the beautiful music that you just have created with your OASYS. So what a good luck (or was it destiny?) that we didn't succeed to finish our deal...

As you know, I already own an OASYS-88 and was crazy enough to look for a second one. Finally, I did succeed to find my second OASYS-88 some weeks ago on www.ricardo.ch for a very, very good price and in absolut mint condition, like brandnew and obviously rarely used. Nothing beats the OASYS as the most musical and inspiring instrument on this planet...

Die Musik ist wie ein treues Pferd...manchmal läuft es einem zwar davon und dann soll man es ruhig laufen lassen, aber es kommt garantiert immer wieder zurück...

Best wishes

That is so cool how this fell through and still worked out for the best! Cool track, Peter!
