Hi all,
Is it possible to convert wav sounds to use them as pad sounds on a Korg PA500?
IS there any software to do that?

I know that the 500 is not a sampler.
My question was if there is any computer-software program to convert wav's, to a pa500 compatible format, so i can transfer it to the pa500 after converting.

For this you need a Pa800 or PA2.
Only Korg can make the Factory-Resources within the Samples.
Thats the only way to bring the samples into the PA 500. But the PA 500 Models have fixed integrated samples in ROMs. Because of this the PA 5xx Models can Start Playing after 15 Seconds after Switch-On.
There is no computer-programm wich can build a Resource-File.
So you never will bring in new samples into your key.
The PA2 and 800 have integrated samplers. There you can record sounds over the line-ins or you can import waves per USB. (44,1kHz/16 bit).
Sorry, but Sampling has his price.
