I need to keep a mod sequence playing for a long time. It's only one note, but I'd rather not have to keep a finger on it for the whole duration, or keep a foot on the sustain pedal.
Is there any way (other than dumping a heavy weight on the keyboard) that I can keep it going ad infinitum?

there's probably a better way, but set the arpeggiator to one step, 1 octave, gate time 100% and 1/1 resolution. finally, turn latch on and hit a key
The other solution that immediately comes to mind would be to get a sustain pedal...
Doesn't have to be anything fancy. I still use a £1.99 footswitch I picked up from maplin - literally a hinged metal wedge with a button inside.

If the timbre is set to mono, I think you can set the release quite high, and hit it every now and again.

LOL, that actually works! I shall now be checking the folding quality of a one day travelcard before every gig..... just another thing to put on the checklist!
The alternative would be to toggle the polarity switch on the existing sustain pedal, but that's hidden away. Cardboard visible

can you not route the mod wheel so that it becomes a hold pedal?

There's an easier way! Go to page 46, Pedal/Switch and change the switch polarity (A.Sw Pol) to +. This reverses the function of the switch pedal (even if you don't have one), meaning notes will automatically be held until you press the pedal. Alternatively, you can change the switch mode (A.SwMode) to Latch, which means once you stomp on your switch, the notes will stay held until you stop it again. Good luck!
