the electribes were totally awesome in the fact that you could route the hell out of their various ins/outs. it would be nice if we could do something similar with the k-pro. sending a certain channel to just the left out and the rest to the right would really help when it comes to mixing some of these huge bass sounds with everything else.
Up dated list with the latest requests.
1.Using SHIFT+GATE ARP to allow you to save and call up saved arp gate patterns you created. this also leads to being able to bring back the arp patterns -k0va5 -SMK -curtaineater
2. Be able to play sounds while switching on/off sound banks without recording snippets of sound while you do so -curtaineater
3. combine two sound banks that are already in use, (bouncing tracks) -curtaineater -k0va5
4. be able to customise the effect on the Y axis. This I do not think is possible as it is. however I would want suggest making it so that you can use the existing internal effects on the internal synth that would make more sense and is more feasible. -k0va5 -SMK
4a. use the existing internal effects on the internal synth -k0va5 -SMK
5. Use program numbers in shift mode to have more direct control over chopping up the loops (like on KP3) -Mr36
6. Option for other time signatures (not just beats in increments for 4/4) -Mr36
7. Quantize option -Mr36
8. Midi note on X and Y controllers in GLOBAL mode; ability to control with NORMAL MIDI-NOTE OUTPUT MIDI CONTROLLERS. -Mr36 -SMK
9. Better midi (input) control options. Its hard to get a keyboard going with this thing... -curtaineater
10. Load and save banks on the fly (during a performance/playback), currently it cuts out the unit whilst accessing the SD card. -samartin
11. Ability to record in external audio without hearing it live if the volume level for the recording bank is all the way down. This would open us possibilities for songs no end, allowing for a built up bank loop to be recorded but not heard until the volume was put back up. I was hoping this would be a feature already but alas is not. -Mr36
12. Once you've recorded a loop (say 8 beats), you have to wait for another 8 beats before you can go into mixer mode. Be nice not having to wait before adjusting length/levels of other loops. -samartin
13. 8 note scales in one-octave-mode having one note per grid square
and 8 note scales in two-octave-mode having two notes per grid square for more precise and repeatable playing for a Pro model. The LED squares would become more like actual instrument keys. -Scott M2
14. LED Option for all LEDs to be always lit except the one "in play" (last-touched) would make the grid more easily observed in a live (or any) situation to assist in finding notes. -Scott M2

Yeah i second that...especially since I have been working on it.samartin wrote:@Daz, Sharp, Chordial - the mods, any chance of a sticky which can be updated by the mods!?
Be nice if this list was accessible by all without going OT from time to time...

I wasn't thinking that at all.samartin wrote:Yeah sorry, I wasn't trying to take credit from your good idea.
Actually, it was a great call on your part. I never thought of asking the Mods to place this list as a sticky.
I hope the mods are paying attention but really I want the folks at korg to see this more.

I found an interesting work-around for the issue of accidentally recording snippets of whatever you're playing while turning on/off pre-recorded banks. the 'hold' feature. as long as you're playing something that lends itself well to just being set on hold, you can then switch the banks freely without recording the note that is being held.
that being said, i still want that fixed!!!

I've just begun to work with external MIDI control and the first thing that's tripped me up is not being able to record external X-Y input. So I would like to add to the range of CC responses - remote record arming (useful for foot control) and treat external X-Y the same as actual pad input when recording.
Also MIDI program change can only access up to S.127 so perhaps we could have the eight PROGRAM MEMORY buttons accessible through the same CC numbers in receive mode as well as transmit. The buttons can then map to all 200 programs.

Oh yeah...that's a good point. I forgot that while "hold" feature is on you can't record. Now I Just realized something, I think the hold feature is not just a work around but actually to do exactly what you are asking for. Out side of that I really cant see a real purpose for a hold feature. Korg should have just stated that the hold feature was so one can switch banks while playing notes with put accidental recordings snip-its of stuff.curtaineater wrote:I found an interesting work-around for the issue of accidentally recording snippets of whatever you're playing while turning on/off pre-recorded banks. the 'hold' feature. as long as you're playing something that lends itself well to just being set on hold, you can then switch the banks freely without recording the note that is being held.
