I've been programming some patterns with the mod sequencers, but have a couple of questions:
1) Is it possible to mute individual steps?
2) How do I set up the oscillators for individual mod sequencers?
I'd like to porogram one melody for osc1 and another for osc2.
Thanks!
btw: I have a Radias plug in board for my M3.
EXB-Radias: possible to mute steps in the mod sequencers?

The only way to do it would be to assign one of the mod sequencers to Amp Level or to Osc1 or Osc2 mixer level.
Typically the mod sequencer isn't great for creating very rhythmic melodic lines, it works better as a source for modulating parameters on a continual basis, or as an extra LFO.
The thing about it is that it isn't actually triggering notes - you're just triggering one note and then the mod sequencers are varying certain parameters over time, either step-wise or in a more linear gliding fashion.

Yeah, that's what I figured when programming last night. But it seems it's difficult to get the sound completely muted at a certain step, it seems only to lower the volume. Must dig deeper into this.X-Trade wrote:The only way to do it would be to assign one of the mod sequencers to Amp Level or to Osc1 or Osc2 mixer level.

Yeah sorry; I don't use the mod sequencer for this purpose very often, but reading this I do remember coming across that, probably trying to program a fixed length Mellotron envelope.Hugo wrote:Yeah, that's what I figured when programming last night. the mod sequencer has a range of +-63, so what you have to do is set the parameter you're modulating to the middle (63/64), then for the steps you want ON, set the mod step to +63, for steps you want off, set the value to -63.

That's what I'm thinking. Will hopefully get some decent resultsX-Trade wrote:Yeah sorry; I don't use the mod sequencer for this purpose very often, but reading this I do remember coming across that, probably trying to program a fixed length Mellotron envelope.
