Combi effects

Post by timtrax »

Like so many before me, I'm trying to get a program master effect into a combi. I'm setting up up a simple bass-piano split. I am routing the bass to output 1 and am happy if it's dry. And it is!!!!! (and routing piano to l/r) The mfx Menu page of any Combi gives you a choice of where to copy an effect - and one of the choices is 'from program'. So I have done that. However, my combi piano is dry. I have not turned off effects in any global sense - since my programs and other combis still have effects. In the combi effects page, I actually see that the effects are there - chorus and reverb for my piano. Why is my piano dry?

You need to route the sound from the piano to the FX.

If there is an insert effect too for the piano, then you would set the send levels for MFX1 and MFX2 in the IFX Setup page after the IFX, otherwise you set the send levels in the BUS page.

routing

Many thanks - I didn't quite understand that matter of 'route through the fx' thing.
